Chad Is a small country located in Africa. It is a landlocked country and it shares a border with Sudan, Libya, and Nigeria. People migrated to this area about 2700 years ago. By the end of the first century A.D many states and empires were created. It was the main trade route of Africa. France conquered it in 1920 and people of Chad got independence in 1960 from France. Chad has a very good climate. Sometimes it gets hot and sometimes it starts raining within no time. From June to September it is the best time to visit Chad.

Lakes of ounianga are a series of lakes located in Chad. It occupies a basin between the mountains in Chad. All the lakes are very different from each other and have a different variety. Some have hot water and some have a cold. They are all different in depths and chemical compositions. All of them are very beautiful and create a mesmerizing view in the center of a desert. People from all over the world come to visit these lakes. The largest lake is Lake Yoa and is the most popular one. Some of the lakes have very fresh water and is great for swimming as well.

Plateau mostly consists of the deserted area but the curved mountains and small lakes make a great combination in making the desert beautiful. The area is famous for some of the oldest species of crocodiles as they are the remains of river Nile.
